Hi Markus, I live in China so I wonder in your illustration of e-up!, how much is the initial payment and interest rate? And the residual value was 50% of original price before environment bonus, is it reasonable?

thank you for your comment here. Here you go:

- Residual value of 50% after three years with 10.000km p.a. is an assumption, but based on real offers in Germany for cars like the e-Up

- Initial payment = 6.000 Euros (state subsidy)

- Interest rates = near to zero --> negligible

Thanks Markus, now I got the exact same monthly payment results as yours. And what do you think about below modifications:

1. If considering 19% or 16% VAT deduction with subsidy, the initial payments will be like this: 6.000 Euros→6.570 Euros, 9.000 Euros→9.480 Euros, which make the monthly payments lower.

2. If based on the annual interest rate of leasing examples from Volkswagen Leasing GmbH of ID.3(e-up! is not available now), it is 2.99%, which make the monthly payment higher.

1. You have to make a difference between the upfront payment by the customer (which is 6.000 Euros) and the reduction of the final price by the carmaker/captive ("Herstelleranteil") which is 3.000 Euros. The sum is max. 9.000 Euro plus VAT for the "Herstelleranteil" which is 480 Euros (for the 2020 16% VAT) or 570 Euros (for the 2021- 19% tax) if you buy (!) the car. For leasing, the payment upfront is only coming from the customer which is 6.000 Euros.

2. The official interest rates were often higher than in real offers. For the smart EQ for example, I have seen negative interest rates up to -8%. The model shows no interest rate because it does not play a big role in Germany's reality of leasing rates for smaller cars.
